Body mass index (BMI, body mass index) is an estimate of the amount of fat in the body. Women and men are calculated on the basis of height and weight. If it is above normal levels, it means that there is an excessive amount fat in the body.
In the calculation of BMI; height to weight ratio is calculated and the ideal weight is calculated accordingly.
Weight/ (Height)x2 = BMI

If a person’s weight is 100 kg and height is 1.80 BMI; 100/(180*180) = 0,003086 100 / 180*180 = 0,003086
BMI is: 30.86
